BACKGROUND
The City of Roseville Police Department is building a Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) with the purpose of displaying and integrating available technologies to assist with making field response to active incidents faster, more efficient, and safer for police personnel and City residents.
The build of the RTCC includes a multi-display video wall and video wall processor. The video wall and processor gives our RTCC operators the ability to organize multiple applications in one view and display the information on the video wall as needed. Several alternatives were explored and the CineMassive Alpha FX Edge video wall processor with CineNet software and CineAgent hardware was determined to be the best fit for our operation.
The Alpha FX Edge video wall processor with CineNet software enables users to access, display, and share video streams across the network in real-time. It also provides physical inputs and output displays, and captures content up to 4 HD or 4K HDMI sources. The CineNet software provides intuitive control over the display content and video wall system. The CineAgent hardware provides scalable web and locally installed application streaming, pulls from a pool of applications which frees up hardware when not in use, and ensures the highest connection speed possible for streaming web applications, all keyboard-video-mouse (KVM) controlled.
