RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL
Recommend Council accept the Fire Station 6 Exterior Damage Repair project as complete and adopt a resolution authorizing the Public Works Director to execute the Notice of Completion on behalf of the City.
|
BACKGROUND
On November 21, 2020, Fire Station 6, located at 1430 East Roseville Parkway, was struck by a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed from Secret Ravine Parkway and sustained serious and critical structural damage. Repairs were needed to protect the building’s structural and internal integrity. Additionally, five steel bollards were added as a preventative safety measure. The project has been completed and is ready to be accepted.
|
FISCAL IMPACT
The total cost of the project was $76,765. This project was paid for out of the approved FY2020-21 Fire Station Facilities budget.
|
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The proposed project involves maintenance, repair or minor tenant improvements to existing City facilities. These activities are categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as a Class 1 Exemption (State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301). The Exemption has been prepared and no further CEQA action is required.
